Mr. Vincent Obrien

Vincent has been actively involved in trade finance for more than aquarter of a century and has delivered technical assistance for trade financein more than 100 countries. He has held his current ICC role as Director of ICCUAE for five years.  Over a period of twodecades, he played a leading role in trade development as a Member of theExecutive Committee of the ICC Banking Commission and during that tenureChaired the ICC Market Intelligence Group which delivered the ICC Global TradeFinance Survey for many years.

Vincent works closely as an advisor with the major MultilateralDevelopment Banks and his recognized specialty is trade related disputeresolution where he often acts as Expert Witness in Trade Disputes and LegalCases. He pioneered the Global Trade Facilitation Summit “GTFS” which is now apriority technical trade finance event for trade finance professionals acrossthe globe.  

Vincent also holds the position of the Associate Director of theInstitute of International Banking Law and Practice (IIBLP).
